Shadows

Two Shadows once walked

hand in hand

on a wavy path

to a distant land

hopping through

the towering trees

like squirrels

navigating as swift breeze

Playfully one hid

behind the other

two shadows equally

yoked in one another

they wanted to reach

that land before the night

saw forth a twisted path

ushering towards a strange Light

like magnets the light pulled

them closer and closer and closer

Joy now surging

they let the Spirit take over

melt into that light so bright

weren’t two but one

Two shadows once walked

when the journey had begun.
